We have been working at Silverstone and the British Gand Prix since the early 1990’s. When drivers like Nigel Mansell, Damon Hill, Alain Prost, and Michael Schumacher drove for the winning teams. Sponsored by huge Cigarette companies who had vast amounts of cash to build elaborate exhibition stands around the circuit at a time when most people smoked, and it was acceptable for half naked women to drape across racing cars whilst promotional girls handed out free boxes of fags to anyone who would take them, even if they were under 16.
Thankfully things have moved on dramatically since then and the cows are no longer alowed to graze on the trackside grass out of season, but we do miss the time when all contractors were given FREE tickets to race days.
Over the last 30 years we have been asked to supply lots of different types of exhibition equipment at events held at and around the circuit. From Super Wide Format Graphics wraps, thousands of pieces of furniture hire, gantry structures, glass display cases and miles of slot walling and display counters to dress the various merchandising tents and marquees.
Here’s just a small selection of some of the projects we have been involved with at Silverstone, the home of the British Grand Prix.
